Our Beneficiaries

In 2024, we donated a combined total of $21,000 to our beneficiaries. Here is what each beneficiary was able to do with the $4,000 that was donated in the previous year.

Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center

The Beth C. Wright Center offers excellent education and support services, often in collaboration with partner organizations, for anyone on the cancer journey throughout every community in Washington and Hancock counties. We offer free of charge to all participants in several sites throughout the two counties “wellness” programs, Cancer Exercise Programs, and Support Groups. In addition, we offer lectures on cancer related topics and food demonstrations for healthier eating, and complementary therapies.

The Beth C. Wright Center was able to use the $4,000 donated in 2023 to help open their new location in Baileyville, Maine. This location provides much needed services to Washington County cancer patients and their families.

Team Hailey Hugs

Team Hailey Hugs (Bethel, Maine) supports families with children battling cancer all over the state of Maine. They provide financial assistance to families with children diagnosed with cancer as well as financial assistance to families with children whose battle are bigger than their hearts. They also provide financial assistance to families needing support with car repairs and mortgage payments. Tabitha Steward, mother of Hailey (passed in 2017) and Founder/CEO of THH is also a family support specialist who works individually with families and social workers during the initial diagnosis.

Team Hailey Hugs used the $4,000 to support 4 or the 17 families. These families receive financial assistance for bills that other larger foundations cannot help them with.
